SIGN UP FOR LRC Session 2
This year we have had an overwhelming response to our first session of LRC with over 70 women signed up within the first two weeks!
Because of these numbers we are now holding a second session of Ladies Rock Camp on May 18-20, 2012!!
Ladies Rock Camp (LRC) is a weekend day camp in Jamaica Plain, MA that provides an opportunity for ladies 19 and over to let loose for the weekend and play rockin’ music together.
LRC is an intensive three-day camp that will be held
May 18th-20th, 2012 (Friday-Sunday)
You’ll start to learn and/or practice your instrument of choice (Bass, Drums, Guitar, Vocals, or Keys) on Friday, then keep receiving instrument instruction all weekend. Programming for LRC is similar to what girls do during our summer camp: learn an instrument, form a band, and work together to write an original song and perform your song LIVE at TT the Bears - in just three days! In addition, you will have the opportunity to attend a variety of workshops with topics related to being a lady rocker. All proceeds from Ladies Rock Camp go directly to the Girls Rock Boston (GRCB).
LRC programmatic function is to generate funds and awareness for GRCB, as well as reach out to women who support our mission. This year we are hoping to raise $15,000 through Ladies Rock Boston to help us make GRCB continue on as a sustainable organization while providing financial aid to all girls who apply!
*Choice of instruments includes Bass, Drums, Guitar, Vocals, and Keys.
